Unemployment Questions?

No you cannot collect unemployment. Unemployment is paid through the state you worked in IF you earned a certain amount of qualifying wages AND you were laid off through no fault of your own. When you submit a claim to unemployment your former employer is contacted to find out why you are no longer employed. When they find out that you quit unemployment knows that you are unemployed by choice. You are not eligible for unemployment if you quit, resign or voluntarily abandon your job. I understand you would not move if you didn't have to but the state does not pay you when you relocate unless you were laid off from a job. You might possibly be able to get food stamps in Ohio. The unemployment outlook is bleak practically everywhere so you will just need to keep trying to find work.
