Where's a good 2 day beach vacation in the US?

something close to an airport, just so I wouldn't have to rent a car. A short taxi drive to the beach, and somewhere with inexpensive to decent priced hotels. Not Miami, fort lauderdale, dayton or palm beach. It doesn't really matter if the beach is popular or not. Thanks!
